Our latest partnership with REDcycle, an industry led post-consumer recovery initiative that has been set up to help divert soft plastics from going into landfill, further solidifies our commitment to environmental sustainability by directly supporting a close the loop program for our products.

As a packaging manufacturer we take our environmental responsibility seriously.  We have operated under circular economy principles for some time and work tirelessly to design out waste at every step of the manufacturing process and keep materials in use for as long as possible.  We are constantly adding new environmental initiatives to our process which build upon our annual waste and carbon savings and help us move towards a sustainable future.

Our packaging products are made using 100% recyclable LDPE 4 which can be re-milled and recycled into many different useful products.  Unlike other packaging materials, LDPE uses significantly less resources to produce and recycle, which results in lower carbon omissions.  Due to its many uses LDPE4 is also widely accepted by post industrial recycling streams.

We manufacture under an ISO Environmental Management System, are members of the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO) and signatories of the Victorian Government TAKE2 initiative for climate change, all of which are verified through annual reporting to ensure our compliance and continual improvement.

Our latest partnership with REDcycle, an industry led post-consumer recovery initiative that has been set up to help divert soft plastics from going into landfill, further solidifies our commitment to environmental sustainability by directly supporting a close the loop program for our products. Partnering with organisations such as REDcycle allows us to promote principles of a circular economy.

REDcycle’s partnership with Coles and Woolworths means they are able to provide a network of over 1850+ drop off points nationwide, making it easy for consumers to deposit household soft plastics for recycling.

Once collected by REDcycle, these plastics are sent to REPLAS where they are repurposed into a range of products such as park bench seats, tables, decking, bollards, signage, fencing and a myriad of other useful items.  The resulting products are extremely robust, resist fading and wont split, rot or crack like traditional materials such as wood.

As official partners of REDcycle, we a proud to be one of few packaging manufacturers that are sharing the responsibility to reduce the amount of plastic packaging going to landfill.  Our suitable packaging products are approved for deposit through the program including ProtecaChill Gel Ice Pack cases, EnviroTherm Thermal Liners and ArmourBag Padded Mailers
